White

White Ports are made from classic white Douro grape varieties and are usually aged for a relatively short time in oak vats.

There are sweeter and drier styles, the latter being made by allowing the fermentation to continue a little longer before fortification.

Fonseca is best known for its dry white Port, Siroco, which makes an excellent aperitif. However it also produces a classic white Port in a sweeter style which makes the perfect match for foie gras.
