A Quinta do Panascal disponibiliza uma visita educacional com contacto direto com as vinhas. Na sala de visitas pode desfrutar de uma bela paisagem e uma degustação comentada de vinhos de Porto.
Aged in large wooden vats, ruby ports soften and develop their individual characteristics, without losing their freshness of fruit, their deep ruby colour and incredible vibrancy. Consistency of quality is key to Fonseca's worldwide success in this category and it started nearly 200 years ago with Fonseca Ruby.
Ruby ports are highly noted and renowned for being the perfect partner to accompany a selection of cheeses, or simply a wedge of cheddar with a couple of oak cake biscuits. Reserve Ports, such as the world famous Bin 27 with its characteristic rich fruity nose, crammed with pure blackberry and cassis is also excellent with cheese, a dark chocolate mousse, chocolate chip cookie, but consider this pairing and your life will never be the same again - Fonseca Bin 27 and Cassis flavoured or raspberry flavoured macaroons.
And finally Fonseca's Unfilitered Late Bottled Vintage Port. First developed in 2003, it is now one of the most highly regarded Late Bottled Vintage Ports. Sumptuous and richly flavoured it makes the perfect glass of Port wine to be served to friends with a chocolate cheesecake or equally fine with a selection of blue veined cheeses. Break from the usual suspects of Stilton, or Roquefort and try the wonderful Italian Torta Dolcalata for a change.
